On 29th July, we officially kicked off MakeME 2025 with an engaging engineer training session held at North West Regional College (NWRC). We were delighted to welcome 16 participants from the engineering and manufacturing sector, many of whom are newly appointed GEMs. Each of them will play a key role in delivering the MakeME Academy this year.

The session began with an introduction to the MakeME programme, followed by soft skills training led by Conor Hasson and Stephen Sheridan from the NWRC Careers Academy. The training focused on enhancing public engagement and promoting the engineering sector.

The event provided a valuable opportunity for attendees to develop their skills, connect with peers, and gain insights into the wider industry. Feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with participants appreciating both the content and the chance to network.
