On the 3rd of December, GEMX facilitated a CPD visit at The LYCRA Company. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen industry knowledge, explore best practices and strengthen connections with partners across the sector. It was a great reminder of the innovative work being completed across the North West.
This visit was attended by representatives from Department for the Economy NI, Department for Communities NI, and GEMX. Jack Folland hosted an informative morning, sharing details of internal career progression opportunities, recent positive changes in their sustainability practices, and their process of manufacturing throughout an eye-opening tour of the facility.
Attendees saw the inner-workings of the factory floor and had the opportunity discuss with industry professionals. The tour was divided into three parts, each with a different tour guide to ensure the attendees could meet an expert in each field.
