On 16th April, GEMX facilitated a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) visit to AE Global in Maydown, offering attendees a valuable opportunity to enhance their understanding of the engineering and manufacturing sector. The visit brought together education and industry professionals, strengthening collaboration while providing first-hand insight into innovative manufacturing and design practices.

The visit began with an engaging presentation delivered by Operations Manager, Mark Sweeney. He provided an in-depth overview of AE Global’s operations, outlining the company’s role within the sector and its commitment to maintaining high-quality standards for clients. Mark also highlighted the diverse career pathways available within the company, including apprenticeships and alternative education routes, giving attendees a clearer understanding of how young people can access opportunities within the engineering and manufacturing industry.

Following the presentation, attendees were given a guided tour of AE Global’s facilities.
