On the 25th of November, GEMX facilitated a CPD visit at Seagate Technology. This visit provided an excellent opportunity to deepen industry knowledge, explore best practices and strengthen connections with partners across the sector. It was a great reminder of the innovative work being completed across the North West.
This visit was attended by representatives from Department for the Economy NI, Department for Communities NI, and GEMX. Gemma Breslin, Community Partnerships Lead, and Declan Hanley, Senior Director of MPI, hosted the visit and conducted an informative presentation about the inner-workings of Seagate Technology. They also heard from two young apprentices who shared their experience from an educational perspective.
After the presentation, attendees were given a tour of the building, allowing them to see activities up close and ask questions about procedures. Overall, it was an enlightening morning packed with constructive discussion and industry insights.
