Working With Education

We’re passionate about supporting young people on their journey into industry – developing the skills and resilience it takes to get their foot in the door, and prepare them for a successful and exciting engineering career with a salary to match.

GEMX Support For Education

There are many excellent resources and groups in the North West. At GEMX, we’re determined not to replicate this support but to act as a funnel where schools and young people can come to us and find what they need.

GEMX will provide a pipeline of communication between education and industry by providing a first point of contact. We’ll signpost facilities and build relationships between schools and industry. Encouraging this kind of open communication will ensure that GEMX is helping education and industry to understand what is needed.

Together, we will build a community of practitioners and leaders who will represent the future of engineering in the North West as it should be: ambitious, skilled, purpose-driven and diverse.

Stakeholders

Stakeholders come from industry, community and education. They provide an alliance of financial support, facilities and collaboration. While the North West has a number of groups already providing services to the sector, GEMX aims to bring these together to benefit everyone.
