The Meet the GEMs session enabled 50 year 12 students to engage informally with a range of engineers from local companies. Meeting relatable industry professionals is the best way to enable young people to make informed choices about their future.
The attending pupils had all expressed an interest in engineering … but this is such a broad subject area!
The session enabled them to meet the following:
- Process Engineer from Seagate;
- Product Design Consultant from NWRC;
- Mechanical Engineer from MiM;
- Chemical Engineer from The LYCRA Company;
- Mechanical Engineer from AE Global.
